Weekending Recap

Today has been one of those magical days.

It has consisted of:
-not waking up to an alarm clock,
-lounging in bed with my boo visiting far and near lands via Periscope
-a thorough meal planning/efficient grocery store trip
-a brisk 2 mile walk
-talking to one of my best girlfrans and catching up
-doing some Social Cap client work
-being here at le blog
-baking scrumptious cinnamon streusel muffins
-a nap momentarily
---and the Oscars are on tonight!!!!!!

This. This all is my happy place. My heart is full.

The Orlando City preseason game last night has also contributed to today being stellar. It was the perfect start to what is sure to be an amazing season with a 6-1 win!

This is what weekending is all about. A chance to just be and enjoy and take in all the greatness we can.

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Reset on a Weekend

One of my favorite things in the world is laying in bed on a weekend night watching Netflix movies while my Hunter and my Ro nap next to me and I scroll Instagram home design and wellness accounts as well. This is particularly enjoyable after an extra long week, I might add. I feel calm and giddy alike throughout this downtime. I am able to relax and unwind, often taking mindfulness breaks and enjoying a komboocha or lemon water simultaneously. It couldn’t be any more basic. This recharge makes me naturally happy creating reflection and gratefulness for everything in my life. I’m a hard worker with determination and I like to reach goals and make new ones so I feel like I’m on more than I’m not.
