I was all ready to go on a trip to the farmer's market to get fresh blooms for today's post but plans changed. Instead, while spring cleaning the hizzy, Hunter found this gem of a picture buried away:

About 9 years ago, one of my bestest friends Andrea made me an entire drawing of my future self, bow in hair, flowered attire and all, and including but not limited to features of my future castle, manolo heels, stretch limo on 24s (naturally), and my very own dragon in the backyard! Yea, that's right, my very own dragon!

That's the thing about best friends; they believe in you and see your star power and support you no matter how crazy your vision board of greatness may be.

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. For example, some weeks I am just done by the tine Friday hits. Hell, a rough Wednesday or Thursday has crept in there, too, requiring a pause and reflection for how best to naturally beat a funk or a “feeling of less than stellar”. Here my top self care reset ideas for your consideration: Drink water: Warm it with some lemon, try some green tea for an antioxidant boost, or just plain old room temperature is a sure way to get the boost to feeling a bit better. Reset on a Weekend

One of my favorite things in the world is laying in bed on a weekend night watching Netflix movies while my Hunter and my Ro nap next to me and I scroll Instagram home design and wellness accounts as well. This is particularly enjoyable after an extra long week, I might add. I feel calm and giddy alike throughout this downtime. I am able to relax and unwind, often taking mindfulness breaks and enjoying a komboocha or lemon water simultaneously. It couldn’t be any more basic. This recharge makes me naturally happy creating reflection and gratefulness for everything in my life. I’m a hard worker with determination and I like to reach goals and make new ones so I feel like I’m on more than I’m not.
