What's your favorite Kevin Bacon movie?--Footloose? Oh you saw that?

I.love.this.picture. Maybe it's because my mom is wearing yellow. She never wears yellow. She thinks its her most unflattering color and yet she looks positively radiant in it. My dad's bow tie is fantastic. I think I'm bringing this look back to him Christmas '11. Forget a tie.

Maybe I love how Footloose-ish it is. Just looking at it makes me think of Kevin Bacon sliding down a staircase screeching "Lettttsssss Danceeeeee!!!!" And I see the always fabulous pre-Carrie Bradshaw(Hey girl!)Sarah Jessica Parker jumping over a bar because she just can't help herself Willard!! So 70's and I love it.

The point is this picture is one of the strategically placed many(so as not to look tacky)on our fridge because it's just great. For whatever reason I enjoy looking at this when I open the freezer door.

Self care reset

We all hear the buzzwords self care more than ever these days. Every where you turn, a lifestyle blogger, health guru, or magazine article shares insight on ways to treat yo self to some basic T. While I love modern discussions as much as the next girl, I’m aware sometimes it just doesn’t fit and you have to reset what isn’t working. Reset on a Weekend

One of my favorite things in the world is laying in bed on a weekend night watching Netflix movies while my Hunter and my Ro nap next to me and I scroll Instagram home design and wellness accounts as well. This is particularly enjoyable after an extra long week, I might add. I feel calm and giddy alike throughout this downtime. I am able to relax and unwind, often taking mindfulness breaks and enjoying a komboocha or lemon water simultaneously. It couldn’t be any more basic. This recharge makes me naturally happy creating reflection and gratefulness for everything in my life. I’m a hard worker with determination and I like to reach goals and make new ones so I feel like I’m on more than I’m not.
