Ohgabetta

Another year passing along and a birthday comes to be had. My oldest dogter, Pepper Ann, turned eight yesterday. I can't believe how fast time flies! Pepper has only been in my life for 1/2 her life, seeing as how we're a blended family. She came with Bub Roberts, his right hand gal, his leading lady. Needless to say, it was Pepper's affection I had to earn. Thankfully so, we were a match waiting to be made. Although he's her boy and she loves him quite a bit, she treasures her mother a good deal too ;) A strong girl with a heart full of love, she is not only my dogter but my friend. We love you Pepper Ann Roberts! You are our heart and soul and we hope you enjoy this eighth year of bark-a-licious-ness and may it be filled with bones, lots of walks and plenty of car rides!

I.love.this.picture. Maybe it's because my mom is wearing yellow. She never wears yellow. She thinks its her most unflattering color and yet she looks positively radiant in it. My dad's bow tie is fantastic. I think I'm bringing this look back to him Christmas '11. Forget a tie. Maybe I love how Footloose-ish it is. Just looking at it makes me think of Kevin Bacon sliding down a staircase screeching "Lettttsssss Danceeeeee!!!!" And I see the always fabulous pre-Carrie Bradshaw(Hey girl!)Sarah Jessica Parker jumping over a bar because she just can't help herself Willard!! So 70's and I love it. The point is this picture is one of the strategically placed many(so as not to look tacky)on our fridge because it's just great. For whatever reason I enjoy looking at this when I open the freezer door.
